WPD Responded to Victim of Gunshot Wound

On September 22, 2020, at approximately 3:50 a.m., the Wakefield Police responded to a parking garage located at #14 Audubon Road for a medical aid.  Upon arrival, officers located a female in her twenties with an apparent gunshot wound.  She was treated on scene by first responders and paramedics for injuries and transported to the hospital.  The case is currently being investigated by the Wakefield Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. 

At this time we do not believe that this was a random act and we do not believe that the public is in danger.
