Wakefield Little League Parade - Saturday 4/27

The Wakefield Police Department has been advised that the annual Wakefield Little League Parade and opening ceremonies will take place on Saturday April 27 starting at 1000AM.

The route will start at the Wakefield Memorial Common with participants marching south on Main Street to Water St, east on Water Street to Del Carmine Street to Fernald Field.

Please be advised that we have been told that there should be about 700 participants this year.  This coupled with the Annual WCNA Easter Egg Hunt on the Common at 945 AM will be cause for an increase in both foot and vehicular traffic in the Wakefield Square area.  For safety reasons, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and to park ONLY is legal designated spots.  Your cooperation is strongly encouraged.
