Joint Training Exercise for Public Safety

The Wakefield Police Department, the Wakefield Fire Department and our local ambulance service completed a joint training exercise on April 19th and 20th. The training scenarios included an active shooting situation in a school, a building search with K9 Dozer, tracking a suspect with K9 Dozer, forcing entry through locked doorways and providing first aid to victims suffering severe trauma.

Sgt. Sean Beede, Sgt. Jon Burnham and Det. Ken Silva are to be commended for organizing this valuable training and bringing all the agencies together to work as a team.
