Drug Arrest For Fentanyl

On May 17th Officer John Whaley was on patrol on Salem Street when his attention was drawn to a black Volkswagen Passat traveling directly in front of him. He watched as the vehicle swerved from side to side in the lane and crossed over the double yellow lines several times. The male operator appeared to be distracted by something on his lap. He conducted a motor vehicle stop and during this investigation he located marijuana, a digital scale, as well as 13 grams of the powerful opioid Fentanyl. The male party, identified as 29 year old Admarel Contreras out of Peabody, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class "A" Drug.
