Congratulations Officer Lyons - "Officer of the Quarter"

We would like to congratulate Officer Joe Lyons for receiving the most recent "Officer of the Quarter" award for his actions during a recent case.  While on patrol during the late night hours he observed what appeared to be suspicious activity at the Global Gas station on Main Street.  Upon approach, he saw a male party near the entrance of the store who quickly got back in the passenger side of a vehicle that had been left running.  Through his questioning he was able to determine the male party had an active warrant and was subsequently arrested.  Based on the circumstances surrounding this incident, it is likely that Officer Lyons prevented a "smash and grab" type of crime.  Officer Lyons has performed at a high level for our Department since he was hired in 2012 and we congratulate him on a job well done.
