K9 Luna

We would like to introduce the newest member of the Wakefield Police Department family, K9 “Luna”. Luna is a five month old American Field Labrador that was donated to the police department by “Foxbend Labradors” in Hillsborough, New Hampshire.

After a competitive process, Officer Ryan Doran was selected to be Luna’s handler. Together, they will be trained in tracking lost and missing people, searching for evidence and searching for illegal narcotics. While not on duty, Luna will live with Officer Doran and his family.

Luna is very friendly and loves to meet new people so if you see her around town make sure to introduce yourself.
