Wakefield July 4th Events

The Wakefield Police Department wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!

The events for the day are as follows:

The West Side Social Club Childrens Events begin at 7am on the Common at Lake Quannapowitt and will last until 1pm.

The July 4th Parade sponsored by the Wakefield Independence Day Committee begins at 4:30pm on North Avenue at Lake Quannapowitt and will follow North Ave to Church Street and then turn south on Main Street. Streets will close for the parade at approximately 4pm.

After the parade, there will be a band on the gazebo starting at 7pm, with fireworks at 9:30.

Arrive early, as parking will be restricted on many of the streets adjacent to the parade route and fireworks.

As always, if you see something that does not look right, report it to one of the many police officers you will find working the event.
