  • Think before you open, reply to, or click on links or attachments in emails from any unknown source. And never give out your credit card or debit card information.
  • Fingerprint requirements as well as passwords are essential to the security of your device. Do not share passwords with friends. However all parents should know the passwords to their childrens mobile devices.
  • Always log out of banking and shopping sites that are open through your browser. And do not save passwords through your mobile apps. 
  • If banking online, do not use a public WiFi. Also, make sure that you are going to their official app or website. 
  • Bluetooth should be turned off when it is not needed. Malicious users may be able to gain access through your Bluetooth device. 
  • Never respond to a text by giving out personal information from what appears to be a legitimate business or institution. Contact them directly. 
  • Although it may be difficult to have different passwords for various devices and accounts, this is important should one of them be compromised.
  • Only install apps from trusted sources. Check others reviews and ratings.
  • Always download software updates, as some contain new security features. 
  • Continuously read and research new technology that can help protect your privacy, as there are always new and better ways to help accomplish this very important goal.
