Wakefield, Massachusetts is located approximately ten miles north of Boston. Wakefield covers seven square miles and is populated by approximately 25,000 residents.
Our department is comprised of 41 sworn officers, assigned to different areas of responsibility and supported by one non-sworn personnel. The members of the Wakefield Police Department are committed to excellence in policing. We are a full service police agency that believes in community policing as a philosophy and as a way of life.
