The Wakefield Police Department in cooperation with the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department are offering an evening recreation program for Wakefield youths, Grades 5,6,7,and 8. The "Badges for Baseball" program is presenting Quickball, a fast paced, teamwork oriented baseball like game developed by Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Sr.
The game is suitable for all ability levels and is designed to be fun, fast paced and to focus on teambuilding and to provide positive reinforcement for area youth. The program begins on February 12, 2008 at the Northeast Regional Vocational School and is scheduled to run until April 22, 2008.
